Happy New Year!

New Years Eve is one of my all-time favorite holidays.  I know it doesn’t involve presents or feasting, but I’ve only had good times on New Years.  Truly, as far back as I can remember, I was having a blast on New Years.

Some fond holiday memories from years past…

-Trekking for what seemed like miles in a blizzard to get to the best New Years party of all time.  Only to have my friends call me and tell me they were outside my apartment.  Long story short, they slept in a car in the middle of a Minnesota blizzard.

-My friend sliding backwards down a stairway banister and leaving a huge butt-sized hole in the drywall at the bottom.  hahaha

-Smooching with a flight attendant in a bar in Tasmania.  The best part was I kept making him offer me hot towels.

-Running around New York City in the cutest heels and sparkly 2010 sunglasses.

Last Year in New York as the ball dropped

The shoes were cute, but my feet were not happy after 4 hours of standing. I’m glad I can share this picture with the world. haha

This year was spent eating dinner with Jonathan’s family, drinking lychee martinis with his cousins (holy gawd those were good), and bar hopping around Long Beach with good friends.

We had a rip-roarin good time, but we were still home by 1am.  Getting older every minute 😉

What did you do this New Years Eve?

  1. Happy New Years! Great photos. Our new years wasn’t so exciting. I ended up getting strep throat last week so we spent a quiet NYE at home watching Harry and Sally, which actually was kind of nice.

    • Bummer! Strep throat is terrible.
When Harry Met Sally is probably my favorite chick flick, so you can’t really go wrong there. Although, Steel Magnolias is a good one too. I always bawl at the funeral scene.
