Utah is mostly desert and Mormons, but it does have some great national parks, Arches being one of them. The creation of the arches is due to a magical combination of a salt bed, evaporated sea, faults, and erosion. The result of millions of years of these processes are the arches and balancing rocks today.
We decided to hike up the Delicate Arch trail, which is about an hour hike through rocky mountain and desert conditions.
It’s definitely not a hike for those scared of heights, but the view at the end of the trail is well worth it.
