The Cove has me in such a huff about fish farming practices, sustainability, and mercury levels. I have always been aware of this stuff, but I never realized how easily I can change my habits to do my small part.
Here is a great resource for fish that are ok to eat by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Foundation (bigwigs in ocean conservation). You can also learn how to donate and take action. I am a novice sushi eater, but I will definitely be checking with my pocket guide before hitting up anymore fish joints.
Also, there seem to be a few sting operations going on in response to this movie. I am hoping that this is just the beginning of a movement towards demanding sustainable living practices and a little truth in advertising.
Enough of my preachy preach.
